Here's what data we use to make your book, what for, and who helps us with it.

What data we use

What you tell us about the child (name, age, what they love, pets, the people who matter to them), the photos you choose to upload (theirs and, if you like, their pet's or family's), the voice notes you send, your contact details and the delivery address.

What for

Only to write, illustrate, print and deliver the book you ordered, and to keep you updated on your order. We don't sell data and we don't use it to train artificial intelligence models.

Photos

Before we receive photos, we ask you to confirm you're the child's parent or guardian and that you have permission from everyone in them. We use them to draw each character with their real face: Claude describes their features and the illustration service gets the photo so the drawing looks like them. Photos of children only go to the illustration provider we approved for that. Photos are stored encrypted and deleted automatically after 10 days; your book's illustrations stay so you can print it again.

Who helps us

We use providers that process data on our behalf, some outside El Salvador: Anthropic (Claude, which writes the story and describes features in the photos), an illustration provider (Google, OpenAI or fal), ElevenLabs (narration), Stripe or Wompi (payments), the printer that produces your book and the courier. By accepting, you allow those transfers.

Your voice

If you choose to have the story narrated in your voice, we only record a sample from an adult who expressly agrees to it. We never clone a child's voice.

Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data and the child's at any time by writing to hola@micuentocontigo.com. If there's a security incident, we'll tell you and the authority within 72 hours.
